The W. SMIt team was on site in Beverwijk to inspect a number of quay walls, commissioned by Arcadis. Together with the ROV operators from PRE-GO, they set to work to determine the remaining service life.
During this project, PRE-GO deployed an ROV equipped with sonar and video equipment. This provided the basis for our team to clean the sheet piles and carry out wall thickness measurements, with particular attention to signs of wear and corrosion.
After the inspections had been completed, a joint report was prepared to give the client insight into the current condition of the quay walls and sheet piles. This report forms the basis for determining the future maintenance and renovation plan.
